Cake Poker Ring games lol - where do I begin. If you want to make some cash and have a load of patience, trust me, go to Cake. Fonzi has been on about it before over on pkrnation. I've been playing ring on Carbon for over a week now. Normal game, doing fairly well, making a profit every session. Went over to cake today - used to play on there ages ago and been on recently for wsop qualifiers. Their cash game is nothing short of hillarious. Incomparable to Carbon or any other "normal game". Raises are NOT respected in any way. I'm not talking baout two or three players. Most of the table! Example 5c/10c NL. 1st riases 50c - everyone calls. Flop, raised to $2, everyone calls. No one respects huge raises: 1st to act raises $2.50 (on a 10c table dont forget). 5 callers..... People chase extreme hands. I saw a guy put 10 bucks in chasing a flush. The flop was AK10 - one club. He chased a river flush with 56clubs. I lost on KK when somoene had 92 off and hit a 3rd nine - flop K8x . I raised $2. Turn 9. I raised $4 - he called. River 9. They all-in at the slightest sign of royalty, its unreal! - I also saw a $35 pot with three people all in preflop - what did they hold? AK off, 10joff, KQ off. I've seen a guy call all in for 10 bucks preflop with 9 10 diamonds. It is astonishing! - I lost 8 bucks figuring out that the way to win is: Don't raise unless you have KK or AA. Slow play everything and hop you hit a monster. You will get called down by chasers and suck out. Fold to any action if you don't definately have a monster. When you get AA - raise small, watch them all call, then push all in. I waited one hour like this and trebled. Way too funy. You have to try it even if just for the laugh

I would add after a day or so, that the advice of "pick your table carefully" has really hit home since the last post. Last night I logged on hoping to catch the nutters after they'd had a few beers. Completely different tables - the same 5 or so people were at nearly every 5/10 table, and the play was tight and aggressive. Very hard to make a cent, so I logged off and went to my normal poker room. Amazing how things change in a blink!

I'll give them a go! - any tips? I'll find out soon enough. For me, depending on the players, bounties you either play like regular games and dodge the idiots and play tight, but then the payoffs are not so good, Or you hope to hit monster and take out several at once
