Wish me luck! :-) Never bothered with satellites of satellites, but thought I'd give it a go as it only cost me 21 gold coins on cake (loyalty coins - worth nothing really). 1 Buy in, one instant rebuy to double up, and one reaload at the break - won a $200 + $15 final satellite to the WSOP. You never know... :-) .. it was a funny final table. 7 places paid the same seat, so everyone tightened right up when 9 were left, then down to 8 it got uber tight, with one guy sitting out. I was chip leader at the start (84k), let it drop to 62k which i still knew I could sit out the blinds with, then took out the bubble boy with Aces and a high kicker. Most of my early tournament chips came form a nutter on my left who was going all-in every single hand, trying to get to 10k or so before he slowed down. Every time he lost he rebought. I estimate he rebought 20 or more times. Probably more like 30 as he changed to an other table at one point. I sat on my hands and called him when I had Jacks or better. He made me tournament leader half way through. He overtook and became tournament leader when I met him again with 2x what I had at the time. Then he donked it all off! ![]()

Lol I noticed that. He was Jerry_Yang - with an underscore. Funny game - real bargain for a $215 seat. 21 gold chips entry (could do it on 7 if you gto uber lucky) and a total of 90 people bought in (started with 57 and grew as people rebought after busting out). Not seen such a cheap way to win a decent seat in a game before, but then I've never looked! - and the play was the loosest I've ever seen. Most hands resulted in an all in. I sat there saying to myself "tighten up! tighten up! pick your moment!" lol

Well, what a game! 180 players. 1st shock was getting 10k starting chips. One of my 1st few hands was KK. BB=50, I raised 300. Had no effect. Everyone called. Put lots more chips in, chap pushed, AQ on the board. Knew If he held an ace I was out so I folded. leaving me with 3.7k in the 1st 5 minutes. Adusted my game, battled on and before long was back from last to 17th. Memorable win was JJ and flopping tips. Nice board, slow played it, made loads. Ended up chip leader eventually (20 players). Kept on going. Made one uber call. Had pocket 3's, KQx on the board, lots of chips in the pot. I raised on the river, opponent instantly raised x2. It stank. Why raise just by x2? and why so quickly? I called with 33 and won :-) Final table, At one stage I was chip leader - called AQ with my A10 and got lucky. He'd been stealing a lot. The blinds were huge with the Antes. Stealing blinds was worth 25k each time. Spent a lot of time in 2nd, then it went wrong. One guy raised x3 and I called with 46diamonds. or similar. I've had a lot of luck using small connectors or near-connectors. It was a small call for me, having about 300k. Flopped a gut shot and flush draw. Turn gave me open ended straight draw and flush draw. Hit my flush on the river . Went all in. He showed me the 2 cards I didn't want to see. AJ Diamonds. Down to 25k. All-in'd it back to 70 k then bust out. Finished 5th (might have been 6th, think it was 5th) - top three places = 12k wsop package. I'm happy with my performance. shame, but happy.
