Would you like a Jack with that sir?

Horrible game. Totally different from last time. This time we had over 200 players so there was big money for 4-6th plus 3 wsop seats. Last time no money for 5th - which is a bit of a gutter as I'd have won a couple of grand.

Guy sat before me was raising big with hands like A8 off. I pushed just a few in on my 2nd hand with AK and he went over the top. It was too soon, and I was too passive so I folded. Mistake number one.

I then lost with JJ when he went over me again. I pushed all in and he indeed was holding Ace rags again. He hit a flush. Then I won a flush draw and went up to 15k. Didn't last long. I got dealt Jx all afternoon! It seemed almost every hand was J5, J3, J8, J6, you name it, and never even suited. No idea what to do with cards like that.

Then I lost a big hand calling a stupid all-in. I knew I had him beat but there were 3 spades on the flop. Yep, he was drawing to a flush. (I had JJ again)

Then I played like a cock. No other way to describe it really. Bust out around 121st.

Bugger :-(

POst-pissed of analysis now I've cheered up a bit. Here are my mistakes - learn from these - trust me, they are stupid mistakes

1) Not taking the game as seriously this time as I won a seat again "easily"
2) Not taking into account I might be playing a totally different field of players
3) Being reluctant to put all my chips on the line in the first few hands. HE raises, I have AK, I "should" have come over the top. I called, giving him teh opportunity to represent anything on the flop.
4) Letting poose players draw big hands. Not much I could do, they would call anything, but I could have folded knowing I'd be in a race.
5) Getting pissed off with certain players and tilting accordingly :-)

Well you will just have to keep at it. One of these days the cards will fall you way for sure.
