| multi-tabling how many tables?
we've all been there sitting online playing one table, and its not gong fast enough. So we open up another table. Over time we try more and more tables at one time, and come to a number we are comfortable with, and a number that is pushing it. For me the number I can play comfortable is 6 tables. However I prefer 4. I can do 7 but that is pushing it. 8 is too many, for me at this point. I like to tile the tables not cascade. When I play one game it feels like slow motion. Which is cool cause I can really think for a while. Especially live it slows down. So whats the number you are comfortable with?

i have played 10 at times, but like to see what is going on. even 4 is to much for me. i like to play 2 at a time, sit n go or cash . for big cash or big tourney i play 1 at a time.this is when i play my best. $2 games i play 4 at a time . sometimes just for the constant action . :D |

Used to be a time I liked to do 4 tables, one in each corner of the screen and a seat at each corner of the table. This allowed me to see my hole cards since I didn't like to tile the tables but to keep them a little bigger with some overlap. I've tried more but usually wound up screwing up on at least one and usually more when I would get playable cards on more than one. Of course this was with Omaha or HE games. If a stud type game or HORSE was in the mix I would never open more than one other game due to having to watch the table when in a hand. Lately been feeling my age more and rarely play more than 2 tables. Eyesight starting to suck at night and need bigger tables to keep track of chip stacks. It's a bytch growing old.

how many tables depends on the skill and preference of the individual. i try to play no more than 5 tables.

It would depend on the situation. I for instance run up to 7 max at any given time,. That is when i have full attention. If i am smoking, drinking, or doing other things, no more then 2 max. This is from my laptop though, a bigger screen can handle much more, but be ready to get confused quick if you are not used to it.

| Re: multi-tabling how many tables?
I got a dual monitor setup that can handle 18 tables comfortably. Last winter I spent about a good 4 months 16 tabling 6-max .25/.50 NL on Cake. Although those were just 50 buck buyins, I would often find myself up or down well over $1,000 daily, but generally won everyday. Today I just play any where from 4-8 tables, and sometimes just 1 or 2 if I'm playing heads up. Although playing lots of tables can be a great way to build up rakeback/win rake races, you really need to watch your play and notice how many tables you can play before your game starts to deteriorate.
