WassPoker Closes

Though Wass is still a forum, WassPoker is now closed. WassPoker was on the Merge Gaming Network. E-mails went out to players today about the closing. The old poker site tries to get you to download without revealing that it is some casino software that you are downloading. Unlike other merge gaming closings, WassPoker players are not given the option to move their balances to Carbon Poker. The word is that you can withdraw as long as your balance is high enough to meet the minimum withdrawal requirement.

Holdem Poker Chat never promoted WassPoker (though some of the merged sites did).

No surprise here. I'd say many more small poker operators will be closing this year.

I had $6.11 left because I had completed a $90 P2P transfer several months ago to a friend, who could easily withdraw and did then. So the other nite we decided to test that option now. I logged into the cashier and transferred the remaining $6.11 to the same person. He goes to withdraw his balance, which met the requirements and the $6.11 is now restricted. We are waiting to see if that will be lifted by Monday before he withdraws his funds.

I'm sending a message to Merge to see what exactly is going on. Like I mentioned above, I do NOT think this is the last site to close in the near future. We manage 40 sites and we see numbers down everywhere. Some smaller sites just cannot afford to stay open.

As always we'll do our best to keep you informed and do yourselves a favor and make sure we endorse a site before you invest your hard earned money.

Totty was so helpful, said to email Luke at luke@mergegaming.com and ask him to transfer my $3.55 to Reefer. I emailed him Thursday, gave him my Reefer name & I just got an email from Luke telling me he made the transfer. I logged into Reefer, lo & behold, it was there. Miracles do happen.
