Cool Hold Em Misdeal Question - Wrong color cards found - after hand is over

Hi folks,

Misdeal question here. Any pros on the rules can help me out?

Upon finishing a game, just a moment after the winner had taken the final chips in the game, a player called misdeal and shows two cards in the flop that have the wrong color backing.

The cause of the error was that one dealer had begun the game dealing, and another player had accidentally delt the rest of the game, with some cards of a wrong deck. The person who called misdeal was the person who accidentally began dealing while the winner was the person who was supposed to be dealing. we were all concentrating on the game and no one noticed the additional cards from a wrong deck, until after final cards were shown and a player was declared winner and collected their chips.

The person who called misdeal claims that a hand is voided no matter what stage of the game if another deck is found to have been a part of the deal. The person who won the game claims that a misdeal cannot be called because the game was already over at the point that misdeal was called.

Any pros out there can tell me what the call is on this one?

For the moment the cash winning, which was considerable for some small time friendly home poker players like us, is under dispute!

On a side note, I am now losing interest in poker because it has caused me to fight with two of my very good friends, and I know we would have never been in such a situation if it hadnt been for the game of poker! ahh the games that humans love to play!

Thanks!

Well i dunno in futurama the misdeal was deemed valid when a coaster with the king of beer s found itself in the deck giving Bender a 5 of a kind versus Frys 4 Aces. Hope this helps you.
