| Enter the pokermatrix on Full Tilt After the patch yeasterday a new sit and go is availeble. The Matrix it is called. In wich you will not play 1 or even 2 sit and gos but 4 simultaniusly. The buy ins are standard but the prize pool will be divided into 5 lesser pools where 4 is for the sit and goes winners and the last is the matrix pool where the 3 overall best players will be rewarded. To win the matrix pool you need to score by getting 1 point for each player that leaves the tourney before you in any of the sit and gos and you also get 2 points for each player you knock out. In addition you get 2 points for each sit and go won. If you win all 4 you will get all the money in the matrix pool in adition to the win money you get and you get the title "The Dominatrix" !!How do you like this new thing is this a fun way to play poker ? a good way to make money ? Or is this a ploy from Full tilt to get players to multitable out of the matrix also to get more rake ?Ill give you an update with my oppinion when i played thise some more. |

| Ok I said i was gonna make an opinion but until today i was abivalent about them since i did poorly on them = losing money, sure they where lots of fun but i hadnt the luck with me. Until today where I won some money in another pokergame and used some of the profits for 22$ matrix for the fun of it. And i did well ,not fantastic but i hope its something thats easely repeateble. I won 1 first 1 second and took down the first on the matrix. For a good 2,5 buyin win. Wich makes my matrix overall about even money. Since i played one 22$ and lost it all and some smaller where 2 i only got half back and 2 where i almost got the buyin back. I do not normally multitable much , max 2 on the rare occasion i do it. So i was struggling in the begining but soon got the hang of it. And ooh yes i find them lot more fun than the standard tourney. Ive seen on other forums that its getting a rather chilly reception with the naysayers saying it is better to multitable 5 standard tourneys. My view is that a matrix is alot better than other types of multitabling because it adds more dimencion to the game. And you can use diffrent types of strategies to get that matrix scoop. The 2 archtypes do you go for lots of KO (what i call dominatrix style) or do bet that the ones that do will get KO themself early in 2 of the games so you can beat them with high surviability. Off course from my winning game i saw it wasnt exactly so straithforward ,i adjusted my strategy on how i was doing vs the opponents several times during the game. From what i gather compared to a single game of the same buyin the prize you get from a good matrix isnt comparable to taking first so if you wanna have high prize for your win you better be prepared to fork out 3-4 times the buyin you normally play or stick with the single games. I myself found that 2 times the buyin i would normally play is a good way for me to cut the risk/rewards , i feel i take less risk but get somewhat less reward when i do good. Ill make an update in the future if i find it hard or easy to make money of thise. I cant be sure what to expect normally maybe today was just a fluke . |

| It's interesting to see your responses to these matrix games, I guess it's a love them or hate them type of thing. Personally I love fast action. I tend to get bored while playing slow tournaments and it usually leads to me making stupid mistakes. I'm not saying I don't make them when playing at this furious pace. I learned to play by playing SnG's and then turned to turbos for the faster play. This brings it all together in a nice format. This may just be what resurrects my game.
