High Stakes Poker Season 5

Today I got curios about when High Stakes Poker would resume, and after a bit of googling I found some info on the new season.

It looks like the show will ressume in February 2009, which is a real bummer. Apparently there has been some problems between the GSN and the HSP producers, so they've had to delay the start of the season.

So, what is new in season 5?

New players, incl. Jerry Yang (even God can't help him aggainst these players) and Tuan Lam.

They will no longer be playing at South Point Casino, but instead at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas.

In season 5 they will also be playing Omaha, and not just Hold'em. We can expect Sammy Farha to do very well in Omaha, and it will be interesting to see how pro's play Omaha in a cashgame.

I'm really looking forward to this one, and it looks like it will be the best season so far.

If you cant wait till February, Poker After Dark has kicked of a new season where the players are playing a cashgames, instead of a STT.

Hellmuth takes quite a beating :P

Just finished watching the first cashgame table, found it very entertaning. Some sick hands in there and some really big pots. I perfer the cashgame format over the 6 handed tournament, so hope they keep them coming.

Yeah, it's a shame. Does anyone have any info on the upcoming episodes, will we see a cashgame session at some point?

Thanks. The lazynes took over me to and stoped me from doing the searching myself.

Anyway, it looks like a good schedule with some really nice tables.

Especially like the last one titled "Brilliant Minds". That's just a sick table with some legendary pokerbook authors, can't wait.
