ok,,,not to be a kill joy or anything, but I am starting to have a problem with the communication of promotions from PPP....

It's great that if you are signed up with PPP for their newsletter, you get the general information about open promotions. I have a problem with the "Testing" promotions for individual forums.

Was it not Poker Analysis who started all the testing for PPP?? We hung thru good times and bad times during the testing, dealt with a lot of stuff, and was rewarded with prizes, etc...BUT, I am upset with the fact that other forums, who have signed up MONTHS after us, getting the chances to do things we were promised...

1. CAM Testing....anyone here get to do the CAM testing?? Another forum was the first to do CAM testing, and we never did, though we were told from the very beginning we would be doing so. They did one for another forum, and THEN, after I made a stink about it, I get an invitation from PPP to test....I dont even know if the testing happened because I couldnt get into the site thru the link provided...error upon error....BUT, where is the WEBCAM test for PA as promised??? Thru all the hassles we went thru from the very beginning of Beta testing, I think the reward of being the first, or even getting to test the WEBCAM, would have been worth it. Yet another site got to test it and we didnt...

2. We signed up for testing using specific Bonus Codes...part of it was once the site is basically squared away, they would enter the second phase of testing, where you play so many raked hands on PLAY money tables to earn cash, which I think was up to $50. Well, I learned today from LittleGrave and an Email I got from another forum that they were doing the "$1 for every 25 raked hands on Play money tables" promotion, basically the 2nd part of our Bonus Promotion here..I went to check it out since I belong to that forum and this part of the promo listed there bothered me:

You MUST download Pharaohs Poker Palace through a link at ***** AND use bonus code *********. NO EXCEPTIONS. We are the ONLY forum being allowed to do this. If you have already downloaded Pharaohs through an outside link you may uninstall and create a new account from one of our links.

They are the "ONLY FORUM" being allowed to do this????? What gives??
I sent a PM to Ellen and am waiting for a reply....I also sent a PM to Ian who replied with:

"Raphael is working with Ellen at PA to get this started I believe on Monday with PokerAnalysis. We have picked 5 forums to work with and PokerAnalysis is one of them too. No worries."

The problem I have with that is why are we(all the forums involved) not notified at the same time that the next phase is gonna happen so we can avoid confusion as to what is going on?? This would lead to less confusion and questions concerning the Promotions that everyone signed up for/selected for/promised. Such as myself, who receives a couple of promo emails from other forums concerning 2 promos(CAM Testing and $50 Raked Hand) that PA was originally promised but never received.

On a good note, PPPs software has come a long way...I had some logic problems last night and already sent a PM to them letting them know what happened...I appreciate their promos/freerolls they are having, having benefited from the one last night...

I just think the communication is not there concerning specific Sign Up/Testing Promotions and promises made to PA but not fulfilled concerning them...it just seems like a let down....

Again, sorry for the ranting and raving. Just seeing other forums getting to do what we were promised bothers me...and the fact there hasnt been communication here from PPP about our promos....

I don't like how they are treating things with the other forum as well. What makes them so special? They are about to be given free money? Where is our sweet deal for our efforts and feedback?

Well anyway, I am not working too hard for these guys like you wh. I learned my lesson well enough from SpadesLounge. Fool me once, can't get fooled again :-(

Just my opinion. As far as I can tell, it looks like the same thing all over again.

Thanks karmarig,,,I just got lucky to more than double up twice in a row when I got down to about 3000 in chips,,once with pocket Ks and then on some logic error on the next hand, when it dealt me pocket Ks again,,,as soon as I went all in and the flop came, my cards changed to A5os!!!! I still won the hand with 2 pr!!!! lol Aces and fives!!! :shock: :lol: From then on, I took my time and I got it....

As far as the other forum about to get free money, well, according to Ian at PPP, Raphael is working with Ellen on it for next week Monday,,,again, the problem I have with the whole situation is the lack of communication to PA about whats going on while we watch another forum do what had been promised to us...If it had been announced to ALL forums at the same time that we all would be scheduled for this, I dont think it would have been much of a problem. But to see another forum announce it was "exclusive" to them, and we hear nothing in PA about it, what am I or anyone else here to think??? And how are we to react, especially after all this time we've put in?? and webcam testing??? lol :???:

Whbonney – congrats on the Ipod win!

I have been traveling a bit and away form my computer, so I apologize for not responding to certain issues sooner. Poker Analysis members are of course going to be included in the “Free $50” promotion. However, after using this forum’s members as beta testers for virtually every other aspect of our software, we decided to let someone else play-test this system to make sure all was being recorded properly before opening it up to players who signed up through Poker Analysis and a couple other sties.

The “Free $50” promotion, aside from a couple days of play-test already begun, officially starts on Monday. The fact that another site’s members started a half-week before PA members does not in any way change the amount they will be receiving – it is up to $50, regardless.

As to webcam – whbonney, I will send an e-mail and request that you be included in future testing. If anyone else wants to participate in webcam, please let me know. There was not sufficient interest from PA members when I posted previously to run a PA webcam test, so we started testing that aspect with someone else – but not meaning to exclude anyone who wants to participate.

Thanks for the info Raphael,,,I guess just the lack of communication here set me off....when I see another forum I belong to "promote it as being EXCLUSIVE to them", that they are the "only ones" to get to do this($50 play money promo), and we see nothing posted here about it, kinda makes u wonder whats going on,,whether u all have forgotten about us...same with the webcam testing,,I'm not gonna go back and check the posts, but I dont remember u asking us if anyone wanted to webcam test, or even scheduling it..I remember my bringing it up when another forum was testing it, and your reply was PA would be scheduled to test it also, but you posted nothing after that,,,again, just seemed like PA was lost in the shuffle on something we were expecting/looking forward to having here...

guess the bottom line is with no one from PPP coming here to post anything in quite a while about the status of anything, it just made it seem like we had been forgotten, especially with other forums doing as much as they have been lately on PPP, and us still waiting on the webcam testing and 2nd part of our promo.....

btw, aside from the glitches(which I PMed Ian about) during the IPOD tourney that happened to me, the software seems to be running well...it seems a bit slow between hands but otherwise, not bad!!

I apologize if any of you share whbonney’s opinion that PPP has forgotten about this forum. While life has gotten in the way of me being as involved in the process as I had been a few months ago, I assure you that this is not the case. Other forums have provided some assistance and testing, but not anywhere close to the level of support we have received from PA. Simply put, the testing and input from PA was crucial in the site’s development, and the owners are aware of that.

I have two questions that are not related to the pre-launch promo. When will PPP start to host SnGs, MTTs and Heads-up games? Is PPP going to offer different types of games like Omaha, Stud, 5 card draw, etc?

Same here, I rarely receive any e-mails about Pharaohs’ events.
