Ring Games

Ok, I do pretty well at Tourny games (27 league wins) and for the most part am very happy with my play in that aspect. I get to a ring game and I might as well pick someoen at the table and just transfer my stack to them. I do from time to time win a little, but not consistently. With neteller gone and quick way yet ot get the money out, I sometimes find myself going to a ring game, trying to get my bonus out or soemthing like that. Is there a different strategy for the ring games? I get the money management part of it.... Oh great King, I need help.

Read the book by Lee Jones (Winning Low Limit Poker). *considering I doubt any of us are playing the monster games, his strategies work great against players who may not play well or/and may not respect the amount of the bets at the micro and mid-limits. *It's basically playing tight, and maximizing your +EV situations and minimizing the costs paid when you have the worst of it.

Tournies are different beasts entirely. *The fact that the limits go up (usually quickly), it rewards aggression and in many cases rewards gamblers.

Playing cash games properly to win Money can be very BORING to do right... (the more you want to win big money, the more you are going to have to risk big money).

Almost forgot the most important part.

Compared to tournies, the most important decision is where you sit down.

Watch the players before sitting (unless you already know them) and find or wait for a seat in a spot where you have the best position on the players.

Having a great seat at a table counts for more than the cards you catch in that seat.
