Here is a nice and quick and fairly simple contest. We would like to know "What you would do if you hit the Bad Beat Jackpot at Reefer Poker?" Keep in mind we're looking for honesty, don't tell us what you think we want to know.

Would you go buy a boat or house?

Would you go on vacation?

Would you buy into the WSOP?

Would you give it to charity?

Would you keep doing what you're doing now and not change a thing?

These are just examples of what you could do if you won.

The best 3 answers will win the following:

How do you win the jackpot? Well here's all the info you need on it, remember as I type the jackpot is up to nearly $900,000...that's HUGE!! And it's going up by the minute.

Bad Beat Jackpot

Bad Beats happen to every player, but at Reefer Poker we have a way to potentially win big after losing with a monster hand!

In any Texas Hold'em game, you will be looking to maximise your value when you pick up Quads. The chance to go all-in is automatic, but what happens if your opponent is holding higher Quads, or even a Straight Flush?

These are the worst of the Bad Beats, and usually result in thousands of chips being passed over the table. Our new Bad Beat Jackpot will ensure thousands of dollars in cash will be won, all for losing a hand.

On specially labeled ring game jackpot tables, we will collect 50 cents from every pot which contributes to the Bad Beat Jackpot. As soon as a player has a monster hand cracked, the jackpot will be won, with every active player at the table receiving a portion of the prize money! The player with the losing hand will pick up the biggest percentage, so if you have Quad sevens or better using both hole cards, you should definitely hope to get beaten!

Bad Beat Jackpot requirements:

* The losing hand must be at least a Four of a Kind 7s, with a 2 kicker
* The winning hand must be at least a Four of a Kind 8s, with a 2 kicker
* Both the winning and losing hands must include both hole cards, and in the case of a Four of a Kind must include a pocket pair.
* At least four players must be dealt in at the start of the hand
* The hand must have generated jackpot rake (ie. $0.50)
* Two or more players must be active at the end of the hand, and it must go to showdown.

I would spend the first half of the money on, women, pot, and booze, then spend the other half foolishly. :dielaughing:

Okay all kidding aside it would depend on what I won but most likely I would divide it equally into 529 college account for my kids as in these economic times it would at least hold its value and its tax free. And it would be the only current investment I know down the road would be a true nest egg.

OMG......what would I do?

I think the first thing I would do is hit the floor and start crying.....good grief Man.....$800000 plus? Obviously the payout would be less than that, after takeouts..........but WOW.

Buy a HOUSE...instead of this 1/2 bedroom basement bullshit (living in the mom-in-laws basement currently.....no bathroom no kitchen, just a laundry sink for dishes n shit.....no room here for my second child due in April)

Probly I would consider hitting the Canadian Tour for a while (seems to be a lot of Calgary based events) and a couple of WPT events (always wanted to check out Foxwoods)

Big ol bubbly bag o bud too.....and have a tourney for my friends. But I wouldnt tell em bout my good fortune at first....I'd let em buy in (we usually start with $100 buy in at first) but then I'd put a big ass pile o cash on the table ($5000 or something sweet like dat) and then we'd see who has game and who's just gamey.

Yeah yeah...I know.....big talk, small stack. But such a big $$$$$ deserves a big dream.

PS I like the roll of TP with the year 2009 on it. Hope thats not a picture-type gag on how MY 2009 turns out.

well....looks like there will be only a few entries in this contest, so I'm gonna amend my original dream.

After realizing the takeouts.....math.....gross......I realized one thing. While it is still a life-changing nut, cancel the house buying fantasy. I couldnt afford a two-hole outhouse in the Lower Mainland with less than 400 K in pocket......and the bad beat wont provide that.

Instead, a more "realistic" what-I'd-do" will have to do.

I'd suggest to the Mom In Law that we should try renovating the basement instead. Expand it somehow, or build it out. Then......

THE BASEMENT TO END ALL BASEMENTS

3 bedroom basement. With full bathroom and kitchen amenities. The kitchen is a nod to my wife, who seems to be tickled with the concept of a FULL FUNCTIONING kitchen as opposed to the hot plate cooked meals we now enjoy.

Living room/common area big enough for the following: 9 seat poker table. Old school Wurlitzer Jukebox (there's a place in Vanc Ive seen that actually has one for sale.....no price tag...it says If you have to ask u cant afford it). I'd love to have The Black Knight pinball machine. Mini bar with 4 seats. 60 inch plasma in one corner, or maybe two smaller sets in alternate ends of the room.

Just one question-for the purpose of (cough cough) ventilation, would this make more sense as a basement, or as an attic-type top-of-the-house kinda dealy?

Hey all to be honest I would put some away for my kids so i can leave them something to look forward to when they get older, The second thing i would do is to set up a tournament for all to enter , definately i would help out the less forinate which would include myself a definate give some to this forum for being their as floors has helped me many a time,I would give some toward suited pockets for looking out for the poker players ,relatives would get some, definately i would hand some over to Mary Jane since she i consider is one great friend , if not for her at times with her words although maybe few but they did help me in times when i feltterible i knew i could count on her for advice ,maybe i sound like im to far out of line but she's just one cool woman ok with whatever would be left i'd use on myself heck afterall i deserve it.now this may not be the greatest answer around but its an honest one either way win or lose good luck to all you and i hope any winnings go to the most needed no matter who it is take care all and good luck bye now

If I were to win 35% of the bad beat jackpot ..... I would pay off my debt and the rest would be set aside for travel..... 8 years ago we found vegas (my first step inside a casino) ..... we love Vegas so much .... the Red Rock / Grand Canyon area we find majestical .... we spend time traveling to many gambling towns but our love is Vegas .... so the rest would be put in CD's to be cashed for travel and gambling ..... as far as changing my life ... if it needed changing I would have already changed it .... I'm happy with the my life ... the money just makes living it easier.

If I were to win, the winner's share(most likely, no one sucksout better than me..haha), 17.5 % of the bad beat jackpot.....My plan would remain the same just a little less for travel and gambling ....still very cool ...Ive been traveling/gambling on a budget for a while, managing quite well. I love AE points and casino comps!

If i were to win a portion of 17.5% given to the rest of the players, (hopefully being one of the at least 2 more needed to qualify the prize) .... Once again debt would remain the priority with the rest put in accessible CD's for travel....

Someone will win this ....... dreaming of it is fun. Let's take this one step farther and all get out there, find those jackpot tables, be prepared mentally with the qualifying rules clear and make this prize ours!

i would rub it in the faces of all my friends that say .....onlinepoker is sutpid its rigged ..you wont win ...your wasting your time ...there ripping you off youll never win . if i won the bad beat i would have a big pay off to make it all worth while .....all the time ive invested ...years to break even ..this would show them .
