Wow Oh Wow,where do i start. The first few days of vegas were a blast.

Sunday: So sunday i got into vegas kinda late. My joining flight was delayed by around 20-30 minutes. I was rather dissapointed because i was wantin to help out V and the live ofc staff hand out bags at the meet and greet but was too late to do so. Bagel picked me up from the airport,we got to nugget just in time to meet up for the meet and greet. I went to check into my hotel,had no problems doin so. Was lugging woods' dr pepper and couldn't find him so left it with bagel while i went to my room to get settled in. After about 4 laps around floor 19 of the golden nugget i finally found my room. After gettin everything in my room and went down stairs i got to the grand poker room where the meet and greet was goin on. I didn't reconize many people there at first. But finally seen V and she told me that i had a roomate. So i went and got my bags and my money for re-reging. Then met up with my roomate,rickety cat. I took him up to the room to show him where it was,we chatted up for a bit then i went back down stairs. Finally met up with bagel. And then met up with woods and his beautiful wife. During the meet and greet people kept giving me crap about where my name badge was and a few asked me if i was even old enough to play online....lol.

The live ofc party on sunday: After the meet and greet i walked around for a bit. Put 10 in a slot,won 30 bux and cashed out. Walked around for a bit,put 10 in another slot and won 55. I was excited,told me self "wow i sure have plenty enough money for drinkin at the party". Lol boy was i wrong. I walked around a little bit more then finally headed up to the party. Talked with V briefly. Then met wolf. I then seen woods and his wife so i hung out with them out on the balcony of gold diggers. We watched the light show on fremont street right there on balcony. Best view of the light show ever! After about an hour of drinkin and just hanging out with woods and his wife,sadie and mer finally got there. Gave them both a big hug and about the time i think woods and the wife left. So then i went into the sea of people there at the club. Hung out with woo hoo sue quite a bit. We ended up doin our arm wrestling match right there in the club lol. She tried to get it streamed online but i dont think it was. Or atleast i hope not lol. Because she won. I then kept my word and bought her a drink,along with buying sadie,mer,and sharebear quite a few drinks as well. I think at one time everytime i bought some one else a drink,i bought myself one. Long story short,i had a great time. But after my um "bathroom visit" everything else was rather blurry lol.

Morning after the party (monday): I wake up fixing to call daniel and woods to see what they are up to. I can't find my phone...I am freakin out at this point cause with out my phone i'd been lost the rest of the trip. Finally i get a phone call in my room. It was my mom! Uh oh,i knew it wasn't good lol. She's on the phone telling me that i had lost my phone and "lost and found" at the casino had it. So finally after gettin my butt chewed by mom for about 30 minutes i called the lost and found,finally got my phone back after signing a few things and what not. About the time i get my phone back i got a text from daniel saying that he was goin to be in vegas before long. An hour or 2 later he was at his hotel room. We finally met up at the nugget and walked around quite a bit,talkin about just random stuff...We then met up with woods for a little while. Then we all headed to the live ofc warm up tourney.

Live ofc tourney: After the night before,i didn't know how i was goin to get through this tourney. I was so warn out from the flight and the long night of drunken ventures that i could have slept for 2 days instead. Well we finally got sat down and start playin. I really can't recall many of the hands untill about final 2 tables. At that point i was rather short stacked,i think i actually ended up doubling up a couple times but was still short final 11 players. I had a/10 on button everyone folded to me. And i push,sb folds and bb sit there FOREVER. After playin with me all freakin tourney he finally called with k6 and spikes a 6 on the turn to cripple me. Well a few hands later we are final table. At this point i have 12k in chips with blinds at 2k/4k(not sure the antie at that time). I get KJ in the cutt off and push,get called and i actually win. Not even 2 hands later. I have AK,guy UTG pushes. I was half tempted to fold but with 7'ish bb's i can't fold there. SO i call..He has JJ and his JJ holds. I get ready to leave and the count the chips and i have 1500 in chips left LOL. enough for 3 antes. Next hand i look and i have 10/7 suited in clubs....i can't really fold even though it's a crap hand so i push...end up in a 4 way pot...Flop comes 3c/4d/6c...so i am gutted and flush drawed(later on i find out i had 2 live over cards as well). Well i didn't hit and guy won with king high i think. Ended up finishing 9th or 8th not sure exactly. I was alright with my finish even though i wanted more. Me,woods,and his wife left to get somethin to eat. My original plan was to eat then come back to check out how hypno and PARAC was doing. When i came back they was gone. So i didn't stay much longer after that.

Tuesday: I woke up feeling alright. Was ready to play the live ofc. Get to the tourney room and find out that i am on the featured table. Not a big deal to me though i would have prefered to do better than i did. But not only was on the featured table,i was also on the table with woo hoo sue.....We was sitting there and out of no where we see sadie walk by.......And sit down 2 seats from me....NOOOOOOOOO. Funny thing was they gave me a choice of being moved since i was on same team as woo hoo but decided not to. Bad choice because of the cards i was gettin. Oh well. So there was like some dude on the other side of the table being rude and talkin crap on sadie and others. I am not 100% sure if sadie or the others heard it but yeah i kinda tried to ignore it but wasn't workin. Anywayz...i was card dead the whole tourney...Finally blinds were at 200/400 ante of 50,i got 88 and pushed...guy beside me auto pushes with a/q and everyone folded...flop came 10/10/A...gg me

Tuesday after wards me,daniel,and brian ended up goin to bills gamblin hall and played a small cash game. was 20 min buy-in .50/1 dollar cash game. Was fun we could drink for free if we chose. We played till about 4 a.m. when daniel realized he needed to be back at the nugget to get his stuff and back to airport to get goin.
So we took him back to nugget and got him on his way to the airport.

Wednesday: So we hung out with woods quite a bit that day as well. Didn't do a whole lot kinda just walked around. In reality that's a lot of what vegas is,walking around scoping out crap to buy and stuff to see. Anywayz we finally meet up with the live ofc people for the pub crawl. Sitting there for about 30 mins waiting for wolf when we end up meetin with him at one of the stops. Ace takes us all to the first stop. Which was a nice little bar. I kept saying "wow 4 free drinks,that's not enough"....Well 1 free drink per stop ended up equaling up to 4 drinks per stop...lol....We got to this country stop,which i believe was our 3rd stop on the pub crawl. It was a lot different than i thought it would be for a "country bar". Figured it'd be a bunch of line dancing and random "country fun". Well there was a mechanical bull. So a lot of the live ofc'ers took turns riding it. I think sadie did the best out of everyone. The bar really wasn't half bad but me and brian kept asking each other "why do we see so many emo people walkin around this bar,i mean it is a country bar right?" About that time this band gets on stage...and litteraly just starts banging on the guitar and starts yelling at the top of their lungs. It was terrible,to the point no one wanted to stay much longer. We finally left and headed to our last stop(which IMO was the best stop). We get to hogs and heffers and start ordering drinks. There were some rather hot girl bartenders there if i say so myself. Of course i see a pool table and gravatate to that. There was 2 people already playing there,and they was playin pool for money. They were obv hustlers. Well guy was in front of me in line to play. And ended up playin one of them.the guy ended up beating the hustlers and we all ended up takin over the table. Played quite a bit myself,but played rather bad,by then the pool balls were a floatin a bit. We all sit there and played pool,drank,danced,all sorts of fun stuff. I even say hi in chat to a few people who were in the chat. That bar was amazing though,the girls dancing on the bars,even some of our OFC'ers got up there and danced on the bar. I will keep names out of it,if they feel like "stepping up" then go for it :-P. I'll just say it was a site to see *coughs*. Anywayz....We partied it up till i dunno what time,till they finally had to kick us out because it was closing time.

After the pub crawl we all went and got somethin to eat. By then i was so twisted it wasn't even funny. I thank many of the uk guys we partied and ate with. They kept me and brian out of trouble and made sure we all got back alright lol.

After the pub crawl everything kind calmed down really. Or atleast it did for me. I know many people went to the Doyles Room party as well as the howard ledderer party. But i wasn't invited to that so i really just ended up chillin for the most part the rest of the week. Played a few cash games,watched a few games at the sports book. Played in the "grand series" at the nugget. Didn't do well but apparently played with some "pro" which i had no idea she was till like 3 hours in.

All in All the trip was fun. I do know next year i will make sure atleast one person is stayin the full week that i wana hang out with,before i book for a week. Vegas has many things to offer for everyone,but it's much funner to expseriance it with other people. Being by yourself is a lot harder to keep entertained and motivated to go out. But yeah i had a great time with many of you who may be reading this.

I realize this post is extremely long and i just would like to end it with this. I just wanted to say a few thank you. First of all i would like to thank all of you who played for SP in the live ofc events. I realize that it's been a tough year for SP and can't guarentee how much easier the road is goin to be from here on out. I just know from the bottom of my heart that i appreciate all of you who played for us. If all goes well hopefully we'll have more who play for us in the future.

I would also like to throw out a big thanks to wolf. You are a stand up guy. After meeting you i realize what a great person you are and hard worker you are to get these live events set up,as well as the online ones. I look forward to meetin you again next time. As well as possibly workin with you in the near future.

Also would like to thank ace jones for all the hard work he did,with helpin out with the live ofc,rather it be the meet and greet or the live streams of all of the OFC events...also thank you Vger for doin what you did as well.

Also thank you daniel for hanging out with me for those 3 days. I had a blast and you are a great person no matter what you think others think about you.

Woods and Mrs Woods,what can i say. I talked with you a lot mr. woods on skype but when meeting you in person it's hard to put in words what a great person you and your wife are.

Would like to say thanks to sharebear,sadie,mer,and woo hoo sue for partying it up with me. I now can say that i can NOT hang with you girls when it comes to partying. But i do look forward to trying it again next time.(and also thank you sharebear for not posting up any pics with out me seeing them first LOL)

Thank you all suited pocketeers and GFN people who supported us during the tourneys. You have no idea how much it means to me and many of us. Thank you,you guys ROCK!

Also just a quick update. While we was having the pub crawl i was hinted to that there will for sure be another live ofc. The dates are up for grabs at the moment. There's an idea of having another one during the final table of the WSOP Main Event. Which is held in November now. So i will keep you all updated with that.

Very nice job on sharing your Vegas adventure in your blog. I think the OFC Live event was the main event for the poker forums members that attended. Too bad we were not better represented as a forum. Rounder's Radio seemed to put a better effort in recruitment of players and it showed with their overall win. I do think it was great for all those that went to enjoy their time together and build some lasting friendships. Just all the more incentive for others to consider participating in the next one. Thanks again for sharing, well done Dustin!

lol yes....look at your cards more than once...i realize that people are so worried about giving away tells...but when you're CALLING off all your chips,make sure you have it.
