On pure math the computer with a little luck will probably do alright with the format the way it is. But what can the computer lose. The computer has no emotion so there is no sense of winning or losing, no concern of loss or gain. The computer will not even notice that it has entered a streak of bad beats by lucky draws of his opponent. If a poker tourney was set up like a contract bridge game the luck would even out as all the players would play all the hands. I wonder how Brunson with his bluffing bullying game would fare against the cool headed computer. How about Negranue or Hanson would fare. Against a computer you had better play a more tight conservative game because the computer does not know what luck is. I play free rolls and and buyins for $5 or less and at my level luck is about 80 percent of the game.
