Poker.com now CarbonPoker?

My husband wanted to create an account on poker.com so he went to pokercs.com to download the software to install but he was taken to Carbon Poker site so is poker.com changing it's name to CarbonPoker? I thought it was just like AP, VegasPoker, and APLady where it was actually a different site that used the same platform? What is up with this?

Actually Black, poker.com is rebranding itself as Carbon.

Poker.com was originally an affiliate site that referred players to all the different poker rooms, but when they started their own poker room a year and a half ago I think their affiliate business started to hurt because more and more poker.com came to mean the poker room and not their affiliate business, so I think they are trying to undo that damage by renaming the poker room Carbon Poker in order to create a distinction between their poker room and their poker affiliate referral business
