| 01/29/07 Suited Cards
I never play cards just because they are suited or call a raise on them if they are small or mid connectors. I could never justify a 3X preflpo raise with say K4 just because they are suited. Yet I see people doing this all the time. Most of the time they are just throwing good chips after bad. If they don't hit on the flop how much more are you willing to put into this hand on a hope and a prayer. Of course ya never know there's always a chance of hitting runner runner. Or if you hit two of your suited cards on the flop how much are you willing to pay to see if your gonna draw another?
I play a pretty tight game and wish I could change it up a bit. I just have this axe over my head feeling when playing. In tournament play you only have so many chips to work with and when they are gone....well it's game over. Should I be taking more chances with my cards? Not the K4 suited but maybe J 10 or even 7 8. How do you play these cards? How big of a preflop raise is justified in calling with these cards?
