IMHO, JJ is one of the premium hands that I tend to undervalue online, with any ace or king being played as if they were the nuts, calling stations will always play against your jacks. I raise them 3 times the big blind, and then play em like any big pocket pair, if the flop is ace king rag. you may want to concede early before you commit a lot more chips. If someone acts before me and their pattern leads me to believe they are raising any ace, I will usually reraise and pounce according to the flop, unless a re-raise can get em off their hand. Isolation is the key to big pockets, heads up they are monsters, family pots, lead to big trouble. |

This all depends on the situation at the table. Here are some question I ask myself if I have JJ or for that matter other hands as well??? What Position am I in??? Has anyone entered the pot yet??? Are the players who act after me tight, loose, etc...??? What is the size of my stack relative to the blinds??? After I answer all those, than I can come to a conclusion on how I should play the hand, it sounds kind of complicated but it really isn't. I usually mix up what I do, and a lot of it depends on those questions above. If you give a whole scenario laid out and you answer all those questions than I could honestly tell you what I would do. Normally though I usually raise JJ, thats what I usually do, but like I said it all depends on those factors above. |

JJ is a good starting hand but must be carefully. As quoted earlier, many guys will play Ax online. If I am in early position, I will try and play them fast and win the pot right there. Late Position, I will put in a re-raise to verify someones hand. If they call, they have a strong holding as well. There is many ways you can play JJ. Use your best judgment based on the players at your table. All in all...be careful. I have lost many hands with JJ. |

JJ is a pretty good hand so you should atleast put in a raise if noone has done so before. If someone else raises before you and its a big amount then just call and hope for something good on the flop. But if there is an overcard do not be afraid to lay it down.

I decide in the moment...a woman's prerogative *w* (what I really care about is how to make the smilies work here - they don't work for me). Now, back to the Q, lol.........it depend on lots of things: how much $$ I have my position and who did what b4 me my women's intuition Now, that's no help at all is it?? OK...if you help me with smiley's then we can talk *w* |
