Sit n' Go Tournaments

For some reason I seem to have trouble placing ITM in SNG's. I play 10 handed NL tournaments where the top 3 get paid, and most of the time I tend to have to double up in order to keep me from bubbling out. I stick to my tight/aggressive game and only play solid hands but it's very annoying, and I'm not sure if it's because I play too conservatively or what. I tend to find MTT's a lot more profitable.

I used to do fairly well in SNG's, but now I don't know if it's worthwhile playing them...

Does anyone else have this sort of problem? How do you approach SNG's?
