Now I'm really confused!!!

They had explained to me that they needed my ex gf to contact them via her old email address, which she said she did. But here is the email they sent me

Regarding the account BIGidiot we cannot allow you access to this account since it is not registered in your name. We will give you the benefit of the doubt regarding multi-accounting since there is no action on the account that is registered in your own name (ShadyFaces).
To resolve this issue the named owner of account BIGidiot must contact us from the original email address associated with the account and acknowledge that you had permission to play on her account. She will be required to provide verification documents in the form of an attached jpeg image of her passport or driver's license. If you choose to use the account BIGidiot as your account in the future then we can change the name on the account to yours if the present registered owner agrees.

After that I sent them back this email...

Thanks for your understanding. I will have her contact you via her asonda_charmed@yahoo.com account. She won't have a problem forwarding you her ID (She doesn't have a Driver's License) or any other information that you might need. As for the multi-accounting, I am sorry that I was breaching your terms of service. I was not aware of this, and had been taking about a year or so break from doing any serious playing online. I usually only play under one account, although I did have access to two. I will be happy once everything has been sorted out, to move to only using the one. Thanks for your continued help.

They sent this back.

Hello Robert,
Thank you for your reply. Your account will be reopened as soon as we have been contacted by named person on the account. Regards,
Cake Poker Security

Now for the confusing part!

After these emails I waited for a response back concerning my account. I was in contact with my ex and tried to have her continue to keep contacting them. After 2-3 weeks went by, I emailed support back myself with this...

Been waiting now for well over 2 weeks. I understand things take time, but it's been a long time since she contacted you guys. What's the deal?

They reply with this email, which in my opinion leaves me with more questions than answers.

Hello Robert,

We have not yet been contacted by the original account owner but have reinstated access to the account.

Now what?

I've since checked and sure enough I can access the account. The money is still in there as well.

Now my concern is why would they just open my account? My ex did contact them, but if I was in violation of their terms of use to the point they shut the account down. What is the reason for opening it back up without corresponding with my ex?

I've wondered to myself what to do, cause my ex lives in a different location than the current address. I have no idea how well Cake's cash outs work anymore since I haven't cashed out on there for years. With my changing information could I potentially get the account zapped again if I change the address and request a cash out? Also I'm sure if I cashout they are gonna want me to jump threw more hoops. Any thoughts or advice anyone out there could offer me would be helpful. She will cash the check for me if I do recieve it, so that's not gonna be a problem.

I'm also wondering what to do about my other account. There wasn't much money in it, but it did have gold cards and such. Wondering if it's even worth bringing it up to them, or if I should just be glad I have control of the $500 in the account that just got reopened. Does the actions of Cake make any sense to anyone else out there?

With me thinking about getting back into playing more, I don't know how much time I really wanna dedicate to Cake. Anyone have any suggestions of where would be a better place to play or where they have better/faster cash outs would be greatly appreachated.

My experience with Cake is they'll let you do almost anything you want as long as you clear it with them first.
