bad beats

:x :x :x the bad luck is unavoidable sometimes, although i played well the cards was against me. look this hands: i lost three times consecutive cowboys(kk), against pair of ases, tripsof jjj and as k.

the pair of jacks neither have been lenient, i lost 3 times consecutive with this jj against a flop q kk, against two pairs, and against k j on internet game.

i have to take patience with this periods of bad beats.

Re: bad beats

If the donkeys lost all of the time they would not play. Poker is a game of ups and downs, I just try not to be unlucky, my QQ-KK vs AA or AX and loose, set over set, you get the picture.

It's a great statement jmin.
If you keep ALL the "downs" in your mind/thoughs then it's barely possible you'll experience the "ups" or at least, enjoy the "ups" when they occur !

I understand 100% what you mean in your post. It appears you have a positive attitude & except things as they happen then move on (like, to your next game).

My statement may be off the topic a bit but had to express how important it is to except the "ups" with the "downs" the "good" with the "bad" in order to keep one mentally balanced which will equate to success in the long term.

Re: bad beats

A bad beat in poker is when you have a good hand that is a favorite to win beaten by another hand. Most of the time it is a hand that caught a miracle draw on the river that should not have been played to begin with. This is more common in low limit games because many players have the any two cards can win mentality. Many players will play any ace and a few players will play any suited cards regardless of the rank. Some players are calling stations that will enter the pot with marginal or terrible hands and then call all the way to the river in hopes making their draw. Occasionally they do make their hands and you suffer a bad beat.

LOL you love it when I'm on your butt :-P

As you know, I don't do cash tables so can't talk about that, but for MTT's I just for the most part, I don't let it get to me. It's gonna happen, nothing you can do to stop it. You have to let it go as fast as possible so you can move on and win :D
