Sit N Don't Go

Ok, so I am talking to Fonzi about my inability to make money on Cake's ring games. He mentions that he is not all that good at them either, but he makes money at the $10 bounty sit n gos there.

Well, dropped another $12 on a ring game, and decided that although I am not usually a sit n go player, I would check them out. I sign up for a $4.60+.40 sit n go turbo. I am sitting, watching, waiting for cards. Guy to my right wins an all in...
Then he wins another. Pretty soon this guy is shoving every hand. Well, I have patience, I can wait. A couple of players double off him, but now we are down to 5 because others miss when they take him on.

He takes a break, calling and raising a bit, then right back to the shoving every hand. Now the wins he gets are sick, but he is dominating everyone with his stack.....

Well he takes everyone out. Just me and him. I have not played a hand the whole time!!! I shove my meager 615 with a nice hand, he calls, hits something, like a 4...dunno, dont care. He wins.

But....
I got 2nd in a sit n go, and I played 1 hand!! The last Hand!!

ps the down side, i soon learned, is that cake pays 4 places in their turbo sit n go's, so 2nd was only $11.50
