2010 WSOP Event #39 info

Event #39 of the 2010 World Series of Poker is a No-Limit Hold'em Shootout event. this was not a Heads-Up event. This $1,500 buyin event had a 2,000 player cap but had to settle for 1,400 players. The tables were set as 10 player tables and only one person from each table advanced. The 1,400 players in this $1,500 buyin event generated a $1,890,000 prizepool. because the shootout nature of the event, The 140 places that would be payed would be reached at the completion of the first day of action. The 140th player will take home $5,632, while the winner will get $382,725.

Again, because of the nature of the event, there is no chip leader. there are only survivors who cashed and those who did not. Team PokerStars pro Isabelle Mercier is one of the surviving 140. As is recent Full Tilt Poker addition Annette Obrestad. Though the wsop website is reporting the day ended around 10pm with the setting of the 140 player field, their chip count page shows 70 players left. I am not sure which is right, but stopping at 10pm is usually not the norm for a WSOP event.
