Tiffany Michelle busts in 17th place

Eight minutes into Level 30, Tiffany Michelle, the actress and pokernews writer from Los Angeles was eliminated in 17th place of the Main Event. Poker's last hope is out.

It seemed like everyone had something riding on Tiffany Michelle. Harrahs. ESPN. Poker News. Ultimate bet. Tony G. Lisandro. Online poker. The entire poker industry.

Some of you are now wondering what the **** I'm talking about. I'm talking about the "Moneymaker effect". Poker needs a boost and Tiffany Michelle with her charm and great looks could have captured the hearts of anyone who watched her in a Main Event final table.

She had a hell of a run under some very unusual circumstances. She chose to wear a UB patch on her breast while UB is under heavy fire for more cheating allegations. Tony G, owner of Pokernews, was one of her backers and got pissed that the Pokernews patch wasn't visible but the UB patch was. so more drama in sued. The 2+2 forums and some other online forums are ripping her apart for some of these decisions. She took as much as she could get and ran, I can't blame her for that. I'm not going to get into all the little details as it will start to read like a soap opera.

Congrats to Tiffany for making this years Main Event coverage worth watching.

"Americans have played poker throughout history. Playing poker on the internet is simply an example of an American tradition evolving into the 21st century. It is unfathomable that poker, an American pastime and game of skill, should be banned for the millions who enjoy playing responsibly."
