There aren't many books for beginners that are specifically written on NLHE tournament play.

Dan Harringtons tournament books are great, but are quite difficult to understand if you don't have much knowledge of poker from earlier on.

The same goes for David Sklanskys "Theory of Poker". It is a great book, probably the best pokerbook I've ever read, but you won't understand it unless you already have a good knowledge of poker.

I would recommend you first read some basic, ABC books, that are meant for beginners. These books will teach you the basics of poker and some basic strategy like handselection, the importance of position etc...

Once you've read these books you take the theory into practice, and only when you've mastered it all you move up to the more advanced books.

Remember that it's better to start of with the easier books and slowly try to adopt the more advanced strategy into your play.
