Your reference to 6-7 suited as being your favorite hand is perfectly okay by me. But I'd take the pre-flop pocket rockets over the 6-7 any day of the week. I also like to occasionaly play suited connectors myself but I'd prefer a little higher set of connectors.

I haven't lost on A-A preflop as badly as some have, perhaps I'm just lucky but I don't believe so. I do recall losing with them to what seemed to be strange calls by my opponents to my (very) substaintial re-raises.

But back to your game. Your opponent made an extremely weak re-raise. He left his aces open to your one card spacers. Some very good luck on your part gave you a hand with 17 draws and a decent chance at the win.

Once you had that flop you were probably going to call him all the way to the river.

Best of luck to you in the future.
